UrOops3D is a teaching resource for qualified and training urologists. It is not for diagnosis, not for treatment decisions, and not for use with any individual patient.
Scope
The content is written for a professional audience: surgical trainees and the consultants who teach them. It assumes prior clinical knowledge and the supervision of a training programme. It is not written for patients and is not patient information.
Nothing on this site should be used to make a decision about the care of a real person.
The models are schematic
The 3D scenes and cross-sections are stylised to convey a spatial relationship: where a structure sits relative to another, and where the danger lies. They are deliberately simplified and are not anatomically exact reconstructions.
Real anatomy varies between patients, and the model is an aid to understanding the principle, never a measurement.
Figures and citations
Incidence figures and thresholds are presented with their source. Where a figure has been traced to a primary paper it is labelled accordingly. Even a traced figure should be read in the context of the original study and current guidance, both of which change.
Always defer to your local protocols and to current national guidance.
Scope of the material
The material must not be read as complete consent lists, operative guides or complication-management pathways. See Clinical governance for the citation policy and how to report an error.
No patient data
Models are derived from open datasets or built synthetically. The site has no patient-record or clinical-imaging upload facility. Do not enter patient-identifiable information in a reflection or support message.
No accounts, minimal data
There are no accounts, logins or payments. Drill scores, confidence ratings, revision schedules and reflections are stored in your browser. Read Privacy for details of browser storage, hosting and support correspondence.
Liability
The authors and reviewers accept no liability for any action taken on the basis of this material. It is offered in good faith as an educational aid and used entirely at the reader's professional discretion.
