Your data on this website

UrOops3D is a static teaching website maintained by Nity G. You can use it without an account. The site has no patient-record or clinical-imaging upload facility.

What stays in your browser

The site uses browser storage to remember your revision activity and display preferences:

  • Drill scores, completion times, confidence ratings, revision intervals and streaks. The record retains the latest 60 completed drills and up to 12 recent attempts per card.
  • The reflection you write on the progress page.
  • Reading settings, animation display preferences and presentation-wall preferences, such as reduced effects and dismissed hints.
  • Answers to the radical-nephrectomy prediction prompts are also saved for the current browser tab session.

These records are not uploaded to a central training database or automatically shared with a department. They do not sync between devices or browsers. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see them, so keep reflections free of patient-identifiable information.

Use Your progress to download or print your learning record and to clear it. Clearing all site data in your browser also removes saved preferences. See the clear-data instructions. Downloaded or printed copies remain under your control.

Website delivery and logs

Netlify hosts the website. It serves every page and file, runs the small functions that receive the preview analytics and feedback described below, and keeps what they receive in its Blob storage. Netlify acts as a processor for UrOops3D. The domain's DNS is managed at GoDaddy.

Netlify processes technical information needed to deliver and protect the service, such as IP addresses and request times. Its own logging and retention are governed by the Netlify privacy policy.

The website has no advertising tracker. During the pre-release preview it sends pseudonymous usage events (page and drill activity, never scores, reflections, names or emails) to that collector; see Preview analytics below.

Preview access

The pre-release preview needs no account and no personal details. On your first visit your browser makes a pseudonymous preview ID, such as L-3F2A0B1C, and keeps it in this site's storage. The ID identifies no one and is not linked to a name or a device.

The feedback form has one optional field for an email address. It is sent only if you choose to type one, is stored on that feedback record (which carries your preview ID) and is used only to reply to it. It is not shared, sold or used for marketing. Email the address below to have your feedback removed.

Names and emails taken from 22 to 24 September 2026

From 22 to 24 September 2026 the preview asked for a name and email address before entry. Those entries are held in a separate store on Netlify, each under the preview ID given at the time. Nothing has been added to it since the request was dropped.

The entries are not shared, sold or used for marketing. They are held only for the preview period and will be deleted within 30 days of the public launch. Email the address below to have yours deleted sooner.

Preview analytics

During the preview the site records these pseudonymous usage events against your preview ID:

  • Pages and procedures opened, including the curriculum, pricing and progress pages.
  • Drills started and completed, with the drill's procedure, category and level.
  • Animation modules started, stages reached and modules completed, and the teaching complication shown in a module.
  • In modules with a CT panel: the panel opened, the tab chosen and the structure pointed at.
  • The procedure map opened and completed.
  • Feedback opened or sent, and support and contact links followed.
  • Film plays and model exports.
  • A locked item shown, where paid access is offered.

The technical event names, for anyone checking the record, are:

  • Pages: page_view, procedure_view, curriculum_view, pricing_view and progress_view.
  • Drills: drill_start and drill_complete.
  • Modules: module_start, module_stage, module_complete and error_state.
  • CT panel: ct_panel_open, ct_panel_tab and ct_hover.
  • Procedure map: map_open and map_complete.
  • Feedback and help: feedback_open, feedback_submit, support_click and contact_click.
  • Media and access: asset_heavy and gate_locked.

Events never include your name, email, drill scores, answers, confidence ratings, reflections, search text or any clinical or patient information. Addresses are cut to the section, keeping the page name only for procedures, drills and animations.

Events are sent in batches every few seconds and when you leave a page. Counting unique and returning visitors uses the preview ID and the day of each visit; no cookie or device fingerprint is used.

Session watermark

During the preview, the 3D scenes (including full screen and presenting), the TURP film, the theatre wall and the revision sheets show your pseudonymous preview ID as a faint watermark, and a saved scene image carries it too.

The watermark carries the ID only, never your name or email. It is a deterrent against sharing screenshots outside the preview, not proof of who took them. Outside the preview it does not appear.

Links, media and downloads

Fonts, teaching images, films and models are served as website assets. Links to research, guidelines and related websites take you to services with their own privacy policies. Exporting a model for an AR viewer hands the file to the viewer on your device.

Optional camera AR on the website

Some teaching pages offer camera AR. When you start it, your browser asks to use your camera and device motion to place the teaching model in your surroundings. Camera images are processed on your device and are not recorded or uploaded.

The browser camera engine downloads from jsDelivr when first opened. The provider receives the technical information needed to deliver that download, such as your IP address.

In the app

The UrOops3D app for Android and iPhone is a packaged copy of this website's teaching content. It works without an account and keeps your records on your device.

What the app stores on your device

The app keeps these records in its own private storage on your phone or tablet:

  • Your revision record: drill scores, completion times, confidence ratings, revision intervals and streaks.
  • A backup copy of that record in the app's private settings storage, so it is not lost if the phone clears the app's web storage.
  • The reflection you write on the progress page.
  • What to show on Today: the last module you opened and your recent operation searches.
  • Your settings: reading mode, rendering and scene preferences, presentation-wall hints and the time of your daily reminder if you set one.
  • That you have read the teaching-only notice shown on first launch.
  • Which optional content packs you have downloaded, if any.

Some module progress is kept only while the app is open and is removed when it closes.

Nothing leaves your device

The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no tracking. It does not send your records, scores, reflections or settings anywhere. Other apps and the app developer cannot read them.

The website's preview analytics, preview ID and session watermark, described above, do not apply inside the app.

Downloads

All pages and 3D scenes are inside the app and work offline. Larger media, such as the TURP film, can be downloaded when you choose.

A download is a plain HTTPS request to uroops3d.com for that file. It carries no account, identifier or record of yours. As with any web request, the hosting provider handles the technical information needed to deliver the file, such as your IP address and the time.

Optional camera AR

When you choose Explore in AR, the app asks to use your camera and device motion to place the teaching model in your surroundings. Camera images are processed on your device and are not recorded or uploaded.

The browser camera engine downloads from jsDelivr when first opened, so camera AR needs an internet connection. The provider receives the technical information needed to deliver that download. The original 3D model remains available offline.

Reminders

If you set a daily reminder, the app asks your permission to show notifications and schedules the reminder on your device. It does not use a push notification service and nothing is sent to a server.

Sharing, export and links

Exporting your record, sharing a page or copying a link happens only when you tap the button. The app hands the file or link to the app you pick in your device's share sheet or places it on your clipboard.

What happens next is governed by the app you chose. Links to research, guidelines and other websites open in your browser.

Deleting your data

  • In the app, Settings > Clear data deletes your revision record, including its backup copy, your recent operations and the last module you opened.
  • To delete everything the app has stored, clear the app's storage in your device settings (Android: Settings > Apps > UrOops3D > Storage > Clear storage) or uninstall the app.

Copies you have exported remain under your control.

When you contact us

If you choose to email nity@uroref.com, your email address and the information you include are received through email services and used to handle your enquiry. Do not send patient information. You can use the same address to ask about or request deletion of correspondence you have sent.
