Revision sheet

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern

6 steps, each one the authored title and caption from the interactive animation, with the frame captured from that step. Read it before the case, or print it and work through the steps in order.

Teaching only, not for diagnosis or treatment decisions. The text on this sheet is the animation's own step copy, reproduced verbatim.

    Culture first

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern. Step 1: Culture first. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • Urine is cultured and any infection treated before the injection.
    • Instrumenting and injecting through infected urine turns a treatment into an infection of the bladder wall.
  2. 02

    Cystoscopy + survey

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern. Step 2: Cystoscopy + survey. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • Rigid or flexible cystoscopy surveys the bladder.
    • Use enough saline for visualisation and to avoid product backflow, while avoiding over-distension.
  3. 03

    Licensed OAB plan: 20 sites

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern. Step 3: Licensed OAB plan: 20 sites. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • For this licensed adult OAB reference pattern, 20 sites are spaced approximately 1 cm apart in the detrusor while avoiding the trigone and base.
  4. 04

    Systematic intradetrusor injection

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern. Step 4: Systematic intradetrusor injection. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • The needle passes through the working channel and enters approximately 2 mm into detrusor.
    • The count, spacing and product-specific dose are checked; a surface bleb is not used as proof of depth.
  5. 05

    Withdraw + demonstrate voiding

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern. Step 5: Withdraw + demonstrate voiding. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • For adult OAB, the visualisation saline is not routinely drained: withdraw the cystoscope, observe for at least 30 minutes and until a spontaneous void.
    • Catheterisation is reserved for clinically significant retention.
  6. 06

    Re-injection expectation

Intradetrusor onabotulinumtoxinA: adult OAB reference pattern. Step 6: Re-injection expectation. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • Re-injection is considered when the previous clinical effect diminishes, but not sooner than three months after the previous bladder injection.

Derived from BotoxScene.tsx at build time: every step title and caption above is the authored ProcedureDef text, reproduced verbatim, and this page shares its readable-points renderer with the animation itself. 6 of 6 steps have a captured frame.

Text fingerprint 3baa6e77933fb739. A caption edit without a re-capture fails the production check, so the sheet and the animation cannot drift apart silently.
