Revision sheet

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift)

7 steps, each one the authored title and caption from the interactive animation, with the frame captured from that step. Read it before the case, or print it and work through the steps in order.

Teaching only, not for diagnosis or treatment decisions. The text on this sheet is the animation's own step copy, reproduced verbatim.

    Who gets a lift

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 1: Who gets a lift. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • The man who wants to keep ejaculation and avoid a catheter: 30 to 80 g, lateral lobes, no obstructing median lobe.
    • Consent for dysuria and haematuria for a fortnight and the third who need more within five years.
  2. 02

    Cystoscopy

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 2: Cystoscopy. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • Gel and a block, or sedation.
    • The rigid delivery device in under vision: sphincter, veru, the lobes kissing, the length to the neck, the orifices, and the median lobe from behind.
  3. 03

    The map

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 3: The map. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • The first pair 1.5 cm distal to the neck, the last a centimetre proximal to the veru, anterolateral at ten and two.
    • Never at twelve, where there is no lobe and the dorsal vein lies; never at six, where the veru is.
  4. 04

    The first implant

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 4: The first implant. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • The device turned to ten and pushed into the right lobe to compress it.
    • Fire: the needle passes through, the capsular tab deploys; the needle withdraws, the monofilament tensions and the urethral tab is cut flush.
  5. 05

    The other three

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 5: The other three. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • Two o'clock at the same level, then the second pair a centimetre toward the apex, short of the veru.
    • Four for a typical gland, six for a long urethra, each looked at after it is cut.
  6. 06

    The check

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 6: The check. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • The channel open from the neck to the veru, every tab flush on the mucosa, no thread across the lumen, nothing in the bladder.
    • The bladder emptied; no catheter for most.
  7. 07

    The note

Prostatic urethral lift (UroLift). Step 7: The note. Captured frame from the interactive animation.
    • Number and positions on the clock and from the neck, lot numbers, the channel seen.
    • The patient told: burning and blood for two weeks, better by a month, MRI still possible.

Derived from endoscopy/UroliftScene.tsx at build time: every step title and caption above is the authored ProcedureDef text, reproduced verbatim, and this page shares its readable-points renderer with the animation itself. 7 of 7 steps have a captured frame.

Text fingerprint 46a0b954990c5e65. A caption edit without a re-capture fails the production check, so the sheet and the animation cannot drift apart silently.
