Revision sheet
Partial penectomy
6 steps, each one the authored title and caption from the interactive animation, with the frame captured from that step. Read it before the case, or print it and work through the steps in order.
Teaching only, not for diagnosis or treatment decisions. The text on this sheet is the animation's own step copy, reproduced verbatim.

- 01
Biopsy-proven glans tumour
- The diagnosis is confirmed on biopsy and staging imaging of the primary and groins is complete before theatre.
- The tumour sits on the glans; the question the operation answers is how much penis must go with it.
- 02
Proximal margin marked
- A circumferential incision is marked proximal to the tumour with a clear margin in healthy skin.
- The mark is the operation: it becomes the cut face, and the pathologist will judge the whole operation by it.
- 03
Skin + corporal transection
- The skin is divided and the corpora cavernosa transected at the marked level, the dorsal bundle ligated as it is met.
- Frozen section of the corporal margin is taken where available.
- 04
Urethra divided with length
- The urethra is divided distal to the corporal stumps, keeping every spare millimetre of healthy urethra and spongiosum: length is what makes the new meatus reach the skin without tension.
- 05
Spatulation + reconstruction
- The corporal stumps are closed and the urethral tip is spatulated and sutured to the skin edge as a wide new meatus, with the skin closed over the stumps.
- 06
Catheter + follow-up
- A catheter drains the reconstruction, and the groin nodes are staged on their own pathway: clinically impalpable groins are imaged or biopsied, not ignored.
Derived from PartialPenectomyScene.tsx at build time: every step title and caption above is the authored
ProcedureDef text, reproduced verbatim, and this page shares its readable-points renderer with the animation
itself. 6 of 6 steps have a captured frame.
Text fingerprint 299b7d5a475066ec. A caption edit without a re-capture fails the production
check, so the sheet and the animation cannot drift apart silently.
